About our honoree…
M. Patricia Culler, a partner with Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP, has been an estate planning lawyer for more than 25 years and is an Ohio State Bar Association Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. Patty's practice includes sophisticated planning and drafting for high wealth families and small business owners, tax preparation and representation before the IRS, fiduciary litigation and trust and estate administration.
 
Patty is a Regent of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and the immediate past ACTEC State Chair for Ohio. She has been active on a number of committees of ACTEC and the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Sections of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and as a member of the OSBA Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Specialization Board. Patty is a frequent speaker at national, state and
local continuing legal education seminars and is the author of several articles on estate planning subjects. She has also taught the course on Federal Wealth Transfer Tax at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Among her professional recognitions, Patty is listed in the 2003- 10 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in the category of Trust and
Estates, and has been listed in Ohio Super Lawyers by Law & Politics magazine every year since the list's inception.
 
Patty has served as a member of several non-profit boards and was instrumental in bringing about the consolidation of two local affiliates of the National Alliance on Mental Illness to form NAMI Greater Cleveland in 2005.
 
About the Keynote Speaker…
As the Great Lakes Science Center’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Blake Andres provides vision and leadership for all Science Center programs, projects and services. Blake first joined the Great Lakes team as Director of Education in the summer of 2000. Prior to his role at Great Lakes, Blake led an education division at the newly created Arizona Science Center in Phoenix.  While in Arizona, he directed the development, implementation and expansion of a wide variety of fee-based and grant-supported
education programs.
 
After some years in the clinical laboratory sciences, Blake’s career in science education began in 1992 in Pennsylvania where he managed several state-wide science and technology education reform initiatives, including the Pennsylvania Science Teacher Education Program. In this role, he directed the operations of a
science, math, and technology professional development program that offered 40 graduate-level courses in 12 state-wide centers to more than 1,000 teachers annually.
 
Blake holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from Arizona State University, a Master of Education in Science Education from Clarion University and secondary teaching certifications in Biology and General Science.
