From Chaos to Control: How Buy-Sell Agreements Protect Business Owners and Assist with Succession/Exit Planning
About the Program
Buy sell agreements are a practical risk management tool for closely held business owners—and a coordinated planning opportunity for advisors. The presentation will walk through why every owner needs a buy sell from a planning perspective, the most common trigger events, and practical funding approaches. The presentation will also address the valuation mechanics that most affect client outcomes at trigger including the valuation provisions, the use of formula pricing versus third party appraisals and valuation discounts.
