About the speaker…
Diane Downing is the Chief Operating Officer of the Cleveland 2016 Host Committee for the Republican National Convention.  In that capacity she will fulfill the obligations of the Host Committee to the RNC as the city prepares for the Convention in Cleveland.  She is “on loan” from Huntington National Bank, where she is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and responsible for corporate donations and sponsorships to community organizations, as well as positioning the bank in the Greater Cleveland community.  She has served in this position since November 2010.  Her career has included positions on the executive staffs of Cleveland Mayors Voinovich and White.  She was the project manager for the construction of the new Cleveland Browns Stadium (now First Energy Stadium).  After the stadium opened, she was hired by the Browns’ organization to be the Stadium Operations Director.  She also served as the Deputy Director of the Ohio Lottery and as the Northeast Ohio District Director for Senator George Voinovich.  Downing came to Cleveland in 1977 after graduating from Vassar College to work for then County Commissioner Seth Taft.  She serves on several community boards including as Vice-Chair of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga Port Authority.  She has been honored as a YWCA Woman of Achievement and a Crain’s Woman of Note.  She and her husband, attorney Tom Corrigan, are the parents of three adult children and live in the Edgewater neighborhood of the City of Cleveland.

Reservation Policy – All attendees are encouraged to register in advance and walk-in reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis only.  Meeting cost is $25 for members when paid in advance before noon 04/11/16, $40 for members at the door, $40 for guests, and $200 for a table of six (please submit names to admin@epccleveland.org by 04/08/16).  If you reserve and are unable to attend, please call the office to cancel by noon 04/11/16 to avoid a no-show reservation billing.

Parking Options-

Option 1:  Reduced parking fees are available on a space-available basis at Ampco Euclid Gateway Garage (740 Euclid Ave., entrances on Euclid & Prospect) to those who enter after 11:01 am and exit before 2:29 pm.  Guests should present ticket to the reception desk at The City Club for validation.  After validation and if within the timing restrictions, the parking fee is $3.

Option 2: Through a special arrangement between The City Club and The Metropolitan at the 9 (2017 E. 9th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44115), guests are able to take advantage of a $10 valet rate.  To take advantage, tell the valet you are attending an event at The City Club.  Once at The City Club, pick up a blue ticket from the reception desk.  Present this ticket to the valet upon claiming your car.  This option is available to those who park at or later than 11:01 and pick up their vehicle before 2:29 pm.
