About the program…
Drastic advances in technology over the last thirty years are not limited to any specific realm, nor are their use confined to younger generations. All age groups have gone digital, and so have their assets. Digital assets may have a paper trail or may only exist electronically and can extend into every aspect of a person’s life and determining their existence and gaining access to them is the estate planner’s challenge in the event of both a client’s death and incapacity. Issues related to digital assets are just beginning and estate planners need to incorporate them into both the discovery and drafting process for their clients. Corporate fiduciaries need to address them and include them in their policies. Financial institutions need to recognize access issues and assist clients in addressing them, both currently and in the future. However, first we must all understand what they are and the various issues that arise as we try to deal with them.

Cristin R. Snodgrass is a relationship manager at Key Private Bank, where she works with high net worth individuals and families to provide them with a comprehensive set of financial solutions. She strategizes with clients regarding their current financial position as well as their future goals to help them achieve the highest level of financial success. Ms. Snodgrass is a frequent speaker in the areas of estate planning and administration, including presentations for the Cleveland Estate Planning Institute, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Cleveland Foundation, as well as in-house engagements for financial advisors. She had also published numerous articles in the Cleveland Bar Journal, Crain’s Cleveland Business and the Probate Law Journal of Ohio. Highly involved in the community, she serves as a board member of PlayhouseSquare Partners and of BAYarts. Ms. Snodgrass practiced estate planning and administration, business succession planning and charitable planning at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP prior to joining KeyBank. She attended The Ohio State University, from which she holds B.A. in History, and is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
