About the Program
What can we expect from Washington?  We’ll review the past two years and current political climate for clues on what we can expect from Washington – in November, over the next two years, and after.

About the Speaker
Matt Kadish is an attorney and partner in the Cleveland law firm of Frantz Ward, LLP. His practice covers a wide range of tax-related areas, including estate planning and business succession, foreign bank account reporting (FBAR) and related issues, entity taxation, exempt organizations, and representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Tax Court. Matt clerked at the U.S. Tax Court, has an LL.M. in Tax from NYU and his JD from CWRU. Before coming to Cleveland about 20 years ago, he practiced in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C. He speaks a lot including publicly, and probably needs to listen a lot more. He's an ACTEC and ACTC Fellow, has been named Best Lawyers’ Cleveland “Lawyer of the Year” in Tax Law (2013), Tax Litigation and Controversy (2014-2015, 2017 and 2022), and Trusts and Estates (2018).  Chambers High Net Worth lists him as Tier 1 for Estate Planning, and other publications say he’s great as well. The Estate Planning Council of Cleveland awarded him its Exceptional Service Award (2010) and named him its 2013 Distinguished Estate Planner. Perhaps most relevant to today’s topic, as CEO and VP-Legislation of the Small Business Council of America (SBCA), Matt helps lobby in Washington for small businesses on income and estate tax, benefits and health care matters.  In 2007, he had the privilege of testifying on tax relief for small businesses at the invitation of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee.
