Weiler is counsel with the Cleveland law firm of Tucker Ellis LLP, and is admitted to practice in the States of Ohio and Florida; an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law; a Florida Bar Board Certified Tax Lawyer; a Fellow, American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio.  Also, he was The Distinguished Estate Planner for 2004 of our Council.  He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for tax, and for trusts and estates, and has been so listed for more than 20 years; and has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyer, 2004 - 2014, one of top 100 lawyers out of 32,000 in Ohio 2004 through 2008 and in 2011, and one of top 50 lawyers in Cleveland 2004 through 2009; and was profiled in 2008.  He formerly was an adjunct associate professor of law at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University, and taught Estate and Gift Tax and Income Taxation of Trusts, Estates and Beneficiaries (1980-1987); and formerly an Internal Revenue Agent in the Cleveland District Office (1965-1970).  He is Member of numerous bar associations and tax committees of bar associations, including the Council of the Ohio State Bar Association Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section; and Treasurer of Cleveland Bar Association, 1993 to 1996; and frequently speaks at local and out of town tax seminars.  He was the proponent, originator, and Ohio State Bar Association representative to Ohio General Assembly, concerning Bills for Ohio funeral and burial arrangements (right of disposition Bill) and signing Wills (conscious presence).\n \nEmily Shacklett, CPA, AEP®, Program Chair\n \nReservation Policy – All attendees are encouraged to register in advance and walk-in reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis only.  Meeting cost is $25 for members when paid in advance before noon 02/10/14.   Meeting cost is $35 for members at the door and $30 for guests.  If you reserve and are unable to attend, please call the office to cancel by noon 02/10/14 to avoid a no-show reservation billing.\n \nNew this season!  Purchase a table at the monthly luncheon… $200 / six guests.
