DESCRIPTION:\nSpecial Guest Event!\n All active members are invited to bring one potential member* to this meeting at no charge!\n*Complimentary guests must qualify for membership based on the current requirements and be registered by the current member to attend.\n ------\n\nAbout the Program\n Join our conversation demonstrating the value of collaboration between divorce attorneys and trust/estate attorneys in settling high net worth divorces.  The presentation will provide a short ‘primer’ on common issues encountered in high net worth divorces to give the audience background and context.  Our speakers will then outline a variety of potential ‘tools’ that can be used to resolve those issues, including prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and trusts that can be used in lieu of property division, spousal support or child support.  Our presentation focuses on creative solutions from practicing attorneys in the high net worth space.\n \nAbout the Speakers\n \nDana Marie DeCapite is a trusts & estates partner at Hahn Loeser & Parks.  She dedicates her law practice to estate and business succession planning, pre and post-nuptial planning, and estate and trust administration for high net worth individuals, families and businesses. She also counsels fiduciaries on their duties and obligations, and assists in the process of business entity creation, restructure and transition.  Dana is frequently called upon by various publications and continuing education programs related to her expertise. Dana and her family live on the east side and she enjoys their enormous black lab Arno, traveling, entertaining and Napa cabs.\n \nAmy Keating is a partner at Zashin Law focusing her practice on complex and high net worth family law matters in both alternative dispute resolution processes and litigation.  Amy is ranked in the Chambers & Partners, Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth clients guide (2023).  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and an OSBA certified family law specialist.  Amy is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University teaching family law courses.  Amy is a lifelong Clevelander, long-suffering Browns fan, and dog lover.\n \nKyleigh Weinfurtner is the Managing Partner of Zashin Law. Her practice is focused on strategically navigating clients through all areas of family law matters, focusing on complex financial matters and challenging parenting disputes.  Kyleigh is frequently sought after to lecture at continuing education seminars on various topics. She was appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University in 2020.  Kyleigh and her family enjoy life in a small township, prioritizing all things sports (including golf), hosting friends, and her extensive bourbon collection.\n \nTed Robbins, CPA, CFP® â 2023-2024 Program Chair\n \nContinuing Education – EPC Cleveland will request approval for this program from the CFP® Board of Standards for CFP® designation holders, from the Ohio Department of Insurance for OH Insurance CE, and from the Supreme Court of Ohio for Ohio attorneys to receive CLE credit. The website will be updated no later than one week before the program with approval status.
