The intersection of estate planning and religion occurs in many ways, both before and after death. This presentation will cover issues amongst a variety of religions relating to end-of-life decisions and testamentary imperatives, including the presenter’s particular expertise in preparing estate plans in accordance with Halachic (Torah) law.  We will also discuss the practical information that estate planners need to know surrounding the death and burial practices of clients from varied cultures.\n \n \n\nAbout the Speaker\n Abbie is a skilled estate planning, estate administration, and tax attorney who works closely with clients to develop and analyze estate plans appropriate to their needs and objectives. She has experience in both domestic and international tax and estate planning, and provides counsel on the use of wills and trusts, gift planning, lifetime and post-mortem tax planning, living wills, and powers of attorney. Abbie is also experienced with Halachic estate planning and works with clients to develop comprehensive estate plans that conform to Jewish religious laws. In addition to being a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and local and state bar associations, Abbie is involved in the community and is on the board of Trustees for Fuchs Mizrachi School as well as the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. She has been named to the 2022 Ohio Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars and recognized by The Best Lawyers in America: 2023 Ones to Watch, Tax Law; Trusts and Estates.
