Prior to joining Northern Trust, Abdur was the Riley Professor of Physics at Colorado College.\n \nAbdur earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Iowa State University, an M.S. in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Ohio State University.\n \nMSCI Inc, Julia Giguere, Senior Analyst ESG Ratings Research - Panelist\n \nJulia Giguere is a Sr. Research analyst at MSCI, providing research on the social and environmental risks and opportunities of global healthcare companies. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Julia leads research for Biopharma, as well as select Consumer industries. She was a lead analyst on the Access to Medicine Index 2010, and a key advisor to the Access to Medicine Index 2012. Prior to joining MSCI, she interned at the World Health Organization Headquarters in the Essential Medicines and Pharmaceutical Policies division overseeing the coordination of the World Medicines Situation report.  Julia holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and a track in Pharmaceutical Assessment, Management, and Policy from Boston University School of Public Health and a B.A. in Chemistry (with a concentration in biochemistry) from Skidmore College. While at Skidmore, Julia’s research focused on the synthesis of small organic molecules with an emphasis on tandem intramolecular Diels-Alder (TIMDA) chemistry.\n \nDavid Alt, CFA, PNC Asset Management Group, Director of Innovation - Moderator\n \nDavid Alt is a member of PNC’s Asset Management Group, responsible for providing executive-level analysis and research. He serves as the implementation lead for AMG’s Responsible Investment offering. Mr. Alt also helps shape client experiences, including digital, so that advisors have the right tools to be successful. In addition, he strives to maintain a strong culture for innovation.\n \nMr. Alt earned both bachelor and master’s degrees in economics from Kent State University. He holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. He is a member of the CFA Society Cleveland and served on its board (including president) from 2006-12. In addition, he co-chaired the CFA Institute’s Private Wealth Committee from 2011-13.\n \nDeborah S. Kidd, CFA, Boyd Watterson Asset Management, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Consultant - Moderator\n \nDeborah S. Kidd, CFA, is a contributor of ESG content for CFA Institute’s curriculum department and is the author of more than two dozen articles for CFA Institute’s Investment Risk and Performance publication, including Sustainable Investing: Reducing Risk to Create Alpha and Indexes Sprout Up as Green Bonds Take Root. In addition to writing on topics of investment performance, risk measurement, and the search for alpha, she has written a number of CFA Institute and Research Foundation online courses on varying investment topics. In her role with Boyd Watterson Asset Management, Deborah serves as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Consultant, where she focuses on public fund fixed income portfolios and fixed income content. Deborah holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from CFA Institute and a BA from Ursuline College.
